This part of the game is one thing that has bugged me from the very beginning.

OK so during our trek across the shiverpeaks to kryta we learn that a rogue necromancer(Verata) has been killing people and using their corpses to create new and more powerful undead minions.
Upon finding and chasing verata he shouts "you haven't seen the last of me" or something along these lines and proceeds to escape through a portal.

Upon our arrival in kryta we see that a rogue white mantle "Galrath" is attempting to gain access to "The Wizards tower" which is massive floating castle in south kryta.
Before we can kill galrath we must first get past "The Veratas" as i like to refer to them.
These casters and rangers r extremely powerful for their location and early part of the game letting us know that whatever is in this wizards tower must be pretty cool.

Since these Enemies have names all containing Verata ("sage of verata" or "eyes of verata") it is quite logical to assume that the rogue necromancer we encountered during our trek is leading them.

But

Where is Verata himself? (In the tower? how did he get in?)
Who are these men that are his followers?
What exactly is in the wizards tower?
Where did this tower come from?

These questions have really been on my mind and i was just wondering have i missed any lore throughout the game containing informaion about verata.

Or if not does anyone have any views about what may be the answer?

Well, there are more chapters along the way... Hopefully they tie up that loose end. But yes it didnt seem like that was the last one saw of Verata

(almost unrelated) The description on Dwayna Statues about King Dorrick & the Bloodstones also seem to indicate that there is more to be told -because why doesnt Dwayna redo her miracle, the "current" tyria world seems just like that in the legend

As i Mentioned in a thread in Druid overlook its blatanly obvious ther is an Unknown foe causing uprising and chaos through out the world & monster appearing.After all there has been a long series of World changing events that appears shorthly after each. This at a time that was earlier much more docile and peacefull.

It would be quite interesting to see something like the 'tombs' in that tower. Sorta like a high level area, mainly consisting of the undead if Verati is suppose to be in it (would also give smiters a purpose).

That or i'm getting mixed up

Verata spawns near the tower if no one in your party has the Villany of Galrath quest.

Yep, if you go there to exploring more (without the quest), Verata will show up. He's a boss so you can cap all Verata skills on him if you want.
